I hope that the area from Broadway and Alameda to Broadway and Mississippi and West to Federal improve. The area of Athmar Park is very underutilized for being so well connected to Downtown.

Hey Ryan, I don't check this too often so I would have gotten back to you sooner. How goes the job hunt?

Thanks Ryan. Yeah, those graphics were for the Garden Festival competition last Fall ['08]. It was part of our construction implementation studio. It was a really fun project. Didi you participate in the competition?

hey Ryan... thanks for the comment on my thesis project and sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. A main recurring question I had over the course of the year was how important is it for us as LAs to show people processes in the landscape? I had trouble making the spaces that dealt with remediation (water or soil) really speak to the process of cleansing. Phytoremediation is invisible... so can we make that process visible?

that's great you'll be using phytoremediation in your project... any idea where or what type of brownfield your site is going to be?

I think u have to see the usual Gaudi spots:
Park Guell, Sagrada Familia, la Pedrera Haus,
then the Ramblas, a walk through the barrio Gotico
also visit the the Barceloneta (great for sketching if you like urban life) and the Villa olimpica.. for new projects... Believe me u will love Barcelona, Check also the last Woddy Allen Film : Vicky Christina Barcelona to arrive in the right mood

Portofino was a small fisher Village in the Ligurian coast.. now is place for the rich and famous .. but still has its charm...The closest airport is Genoa.... I also recommend u Cinqueterra is not fare away from Portofonino and is also beautiful and a common destination for painters. the name says eberything : there are five towns on th rocks by the see....
