Favorite Landscape Architecture Words... Brainstorm

  • Rating: 0 after 1 vote
Hi. I need help brainstorming name ideas for a side project I am working on and would like to know words or terms related to Landscape Architecture that you find either interesting, cool, fun, or in any way provocative.

Or, maybe an easier question - What is the first word that pops into your head when you hear Landscape Architecture?

Thanks for the help in advance!

"Sense of Place."
definitely. I actually hate the word now that I've heard it so much and I'm not sure that most people can even design a sense of place. I guess thats getting into another topic altogether.
I'm loving the inventiveness the 'landscape urbanism' movement is bringing to the english language.

I would also add:

water feature= fountain (depending on who you ask of course. Andrew might say 'retention pond' lol)
juxtaposition= what I did has nothing to do with the stuff around it.
Landon,
Also, if you were attempting to really impress someone or just wanted a different term for "sense of place" you can go with Genus loci.

6 to one person, half dozen to another person.
folly = nonsensical structure
